St Lawrence Church building will be open for visitors to enjoy our history and architecture, which declares God’s glory, on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September 2024.

A grade I listed church with connections to the Garth Family of Morden Hall who rebuilt the church in the 1630s. Unusual pulpit with sounding board. Rare 17th Century glass which was restored in 2020. Churchyard self-guided trail featuring local history.

Church members will welcome you to a tour of this historic building. There are several items of architectural interest including the rare glass in the East Window which was restored by Holywell Glass in 2020. A self-guided trail of the churchyard with audio commentary on your mobile phone will introduce you to the fascinating stories of local families.

There will be worksheets available for families with children. Don’t go without sampling the refreshments in the modern church centre!
